| Dynamic Rock is Open!Sunday 5 th February 2006 On Saturday 4th Feb, we opened our doors to a flurry of people wanting to have a go, or simply get a look at our new centre. Many people had never seen anything like it before, and were amazed by the amount of work that had gone into building the facility. 
The day kicked off at 12pm with the general public having a free climb on our walls – supervised by our staff. At 1pm we officially opened the centre with Edwina Hart (AM) cutting the ribbon, and giving a heart warming speech. 
We then opened the buffet and the champagne and had a few routes demonstrated by Adrian Berry (who set most of the boulder problems for our opening competition). At about 2pm we had four local scouts give their Promise hanging from our wall, which was quite entertaining! 
At 3pm we kicked off the bouldering competition with prizes supplied by Crooks Climbing and Explore – Swansea. 
We closed the doors at 7pm and cracked open the ‘proper’ champagne to celebrate a successful opening.
