Bouldering is a discipline of climbing that’s more focused on individual and short sequences of movement. Where a typical climbing route will contain from 20-30 moves, a boulder problem may have as little as 2 or 3. Bouldering is done a lot closer to the ground (our bouldering room’s highest point is around 4 metres) and over soft matting.
There is no rope work or climbing knowledge required for bouldering, making it the most accessible way to try climbing. A ten minute induction with one of our qualified staff will take you through the do’s, don’t's and general etiquette of the bouldering room, after which you will be free to climb unsupervised for as long as you want.
See the Times & Prices page for bouldering costs.
