Cai - Instructor

Cai has been climbing at Dynamic Rock for a number of years. He has joined our team as an instructor and runs a variety of sessions throughout the week. When the weather is good, you will either find Cai at the crag or on the waves!

Meet the Team

  • Helen Jacob - Managing Director

    Helen took over as Managing Director in March 2023, but has been involved with Dyamic Rock since it opened in 2006. Alongside this role, Helen is a Geography Teacher at a local school and enjoys hillwalking, reading, yoga and occassially climbing!

  • Matt Woodfield - Technical Director

  • Steffan - Assistant Manager

    Steffan has grown up with Dynamic Rock, as he started coming here when he was three years old! His role here includes coaching, route setting, outdoor instruction, and he is the course director of the NICAS scheme. Steffan particularly enjoys sport and trad climbing, and has recently started developing his own routes in the local area!

  • Josh - Instructor & Route Setter

    Josh brings a wealth of experience instructing, coaching, and route setting to his role at Dynamic Rock. He is a lifelong boulderer and is currently working towards his first 8B!

  • Amber - Instructor

    Amber is an enthusiastic member of the team who runs a variety of sessions at Dynamic Rock. She has recently set up 'She Sends'; a community for women and non-binary climbers, who climb at Dynamic Rock on Thursday evenings and outdoors on weekends. In her free time Amber enjoys going to the beach with her dog, Arlo!

  • Ben - Instructor

    Ben runs a variety of sessions at Dynamic Rock throughout the week, and at weekends can be found climbing trad at local crags. In his free time he has spent a month climbing in Yosemite, and is also learning to sail!

  • Cai - Instructor

    Cai has been climbing at Dynamic Rock for a number of years. He has joined our team as an instructor and runs a variety of sessions throughout the week. When the weather is good, you will either find Cai at the crag or on the waves!

  • Lola - Assistant Instructor

  • Meg - Volunteer

    Meg has been climbing at the centre since 2019, and is part of the Dynamic Rock Squad! She has now joined our team as a volunteer, and can be found assisting on a variety of sessions such as Mini Monkeys and Taster Sessions.

  • Bailey - Meet & Greet

    Bailey, the Dynamic dog! He loves eating cheese, chasing squirels and giving emotional support to climbers. Always available for cuddles.

  • Beth & Mitch - Instructors

    Beth and Mitch are the dynamic duo that run our popular teenage climbing club; 'Send It!'. They bring a wealth of climbing and instructing experience to the team.
